New York native Bob Baldwin was blessed to be taught to play the piano by his father Robert Baldwin Sr.  At age four, he discovered his ability of perfect pitch with the help of the elder Baldwin, a jazz pianist who worked with Art Davis, Keter Betts, Max Roach and others. Bob Baldwin studied the classical and jazz repertoire, but his intriguing harmonies were no doubt honed due to his wide range of inspiration, which,included Oscar Peterson, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis.  

Baldwin, independently produced Bobbaldwin.com, which was distributed Virgin/EMI still remains to be one of the best CDs to date. Peaking at #3 on the Billboard Contemporary Chart. BobBaldwin.com features the awesome talents of Gerald Albright, Marion Meadows, Armsted Christian, Dean James and Tom Browne. Baldwin's covered Browne's "Funkin' For Jamaica" which he dedicates to the late Grover Washington, Jr., Baldwin's natural ability to weave life's experiences into music while creating inventive harmonies. Baldwin has teamed up with the likes of Maysa Leak, Roy Ayers, Gerald Albright, Dean James, Michael Lington, Jeff Kashiwa, Dave Mann, Chieli Minucci, Phil Perry, Kim Waters, Will Downing, Marion Meadows, Ray Vega, and Brazilian Percussionist Cafe' to create an electrifying performance.
